Before making up your mind whether to plead guilty or not guilty, bear in mind...

  1. If you are obliged to attend Court to answer a serious criminal or traffic charge, it is strongly recommended that you first obtain competent legal advice from a criminal lawyer on your rights and responsibilities associated with such charge.
  2. You have an irrefutable right to insist that the police or other prosecutor present formal evidence to the Court to prove your guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
  3. If you plead guilty to any criminal or traffic charge, you initiate a criminal or traffic police record or add to it if you already have one.
  4. Your criminal or traffic record might be used against you in any personal injury or property damage claim arising out of the same circumstances.
